haruka nakamura releases the music videos of ‘Atarashiki Hikari’ and ‘Mirai’, both taken from ‘Atarashiki Hikari’ EP and featuring the vocals of April Lee of ASPIDISTRAFLY.

Produced in collaboration with photographer Atsushi Okada, the video captures scenes from Yururi Island, an uninhabited island in Hokkaido, with special permission from the Nemuro City administration.

Yururi Island is a small uninhabited island located off the coast of the Nemuro Peninsula in Hokkaido, the easternmost point of the mainland. Not only is it a remote island, but it is also severely restricted where only horses live.

Atsushi Okada photographs Yururi Island as his life work and has been listening to haruka nakamura’s music during his expenditures. After several years, the collaboration was finally fulfilled by the two artists, spawning a series of films with haruka nakamura in charge of the music including ‘Mirai’, also taken from the ‘Atarashiki Hikari’ EP via KITCHEN. LABEL.
